Privacy brief
You decide what leaves your device.
App content is not sent to the ezOffice website. Data leaves the device only when you enable iCloud, export a file, connect a companion, or allow the data needed for advertising services.

01 / Content you create
Data is processed on your device
Photos, scans, documents, notes, and vault entries are processed locally so the features can work. ezOffice does not operate a private server that receives or reads this content.
- Camera and Photos are accessed only when you start scanning or choose a file.
- Files exports are saved where you choose and can be shared with other apps.
- Remote and Cast connections run locally between the devices you choose.
02 / Optional sync
iCloud and iCloud Keychain
You can enable Notes and Vault sync through iCloud. Sensitive data is encrypted in the app before syncing and stored in your iCloud account's private data area.
- The Vault recovery key is stored in iCloud Keychain to support recovery after device-owner authentication.
- ezOffice cannot access your iCloud password or Apple Account.
- Turning off iCloud sync stops new changes from syncing; local data remains under your control.
03 / Third-party services
Advertising and purchases
When ads are enabled, ezOffice uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show banners in relevant screens. Google may process technical device information, an advertising identifier when permitted, and measurement data to deliver ads.
- Personalized advertising depends on your consent choices and operating-system privacy settings.
- You can reopen ad privacy choices in ezOffice Settings.
- The one-time ad-removal purchase is handled by Apple StoreKit. ezOffice does not receive or store card details.
04 / Permissions
You control access
The app requests access only when you use the related feature. You can change or revoke permissions in your device Settings.
- Camera and Photos: scanning or choosing documents.
- Local Network and Bonjour: finding and pairing with a Mac/Windows companion on the same network.
- Face ID: quick Vault unlock after you explicitly enable and authenticate it.
05 / Retention and deletion
Delete data on your terms
Data stays on your device and in iCloud (when sync is enabled) until you delete it or turn the feature off. ezOffice does not sell your content or use Vault content for advertising.
- Delete documents, notes, or Vault entries in the app to remove copies managed by ezOffice.
- When iCloud sync is enabled, deletions sync through Apple's mechanisms.
- Copies exported to Files, device backups, or other services are outside ezOffice's control and must be removed where they were saved.
06 / Security
Protection measures
The Vault uses AES-GCM encryption and is protected by a master password or Face ID. Companion connections on the local network use TLS. No measure can guarantee absolute security, so keep your device and passwords safe.
- Do not share your Vault password or recovery key.
- If a device is lost, use Apple's security tools to secure your account and device.
- If you suspect an issue, contact support for guidance.
07 / Policy updates
Changes and contact
When ezOffice's data practices change, we will update this page and the related App Privacy information. This policy does not create a web account for users.
- This policy covers ezOffice on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and companion apps distributed by ezOffice.
- The app is not designed to knowingly collect children's data.
